Senior Economist
Seeking multiple applicants with a Master's or higher degree in economics, finance, or related field. Qualified candidates must demonstrate entrepreneurial instincts and a strong interest in consulting, have a track record of successful attraction and management of consulting engagements, and show successful performance of consulting assignments in applied economics. Position require strong skills in microeconomics; quantitative and statistical methods; computer spreadsheets, databases, stochastic modeling, event studies; and exceptional skills of written and oral presentation. Candidates with experience in one or more of these practice areas will be given priority in selection and compensation:
- Transportation economics
- Banking and finance
- Regional macroeconomic modeling
- Litigation support
- Health economics
- Public finance
- Energy/environmental/climate economics
- Economics of social policy
Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidate must be willing to relocate to Portland, Oregon or Eugene, Oregon (telecommuting will be considered under certain circumstances). Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
Policy Analyst/Economist
Seeking applicants with a Master's or higher degree in economics, public policy, finance, or related field and a minimum of five years of work experience. Qualified candidates must demonstrate a strong track record of successful attraction and management of consulting engagements; demonstrable performance of consulting to the private as well as public sectors; and excellent writing and client communication skills. Position requires strong skills in microeconomics; quantitative and statistical methods; computer spreadsheets, and databases; and exceptional skills of written and oral presentation. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
