ECONorthwest is the Northwest's largest and most respected economics consulting firm. We have a staff of 50 in offices in Portland and Eugene, Oregon, and maintain field offices in Seattle, Washington and Boulder, Colorado. We work for private- and public-sector clients throughout the United States. Since 1974, we have completed over 2,000 projects in economics, finance, planning, and policy evaluation.

The quality starts with our training: ECONorthwest's project managers have doctorates and master's degrees in economics, planning, and policy analysis from universities including M.I.T., Harvard, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Oregon. Our products, however, are practical, not academic. We describe rigorous technical analysis in understandable and objective language. We offer consulting services on a broad range of topics. Governments at all levels access our expertise in economic development, energy, land use, and transportation economics.

As a part of our consulting work in social policy, we have developed a variety of custom software applications for our clients. We have been developing and delivering web applications since 1996, and have skilled staff dedicated to making complex software easy to use and trouble free.

Litigation Support

For the past several decades, our technical staff has given expert testimony in courts and hearings and has provided litigation support on a wide variety of topics.

These topics have included antitrust and liability cases, business and intellectual-property valuation, environmental damages and other natural-resource litigation, labor and employment law, public-utility regulations, zoning and land use disputes, and tort law.
