Survey and Sample Design

ECONorthwest has extensive experience in the development, administration, and statistical analysis of random sample surveys. Over the past 10 years Robert Parker, a senior planner at ECONorthwest, has managed more than 50 projects that involved a survey. ECONorthwest has conducted surveys on topics such as housing, municipal services, and recreational needs. ECONorthwest uses the Tailored Design Method created by Dr. Don Dillman at Washington State University. This systematic approach to survey development and administration helps boost response rates and increase the reliability of the resulting data sets. ECONorthwest also has the capacity to conduct web-based surveys, intercept surveys, and surveys using other non-random sampling techniques.
