Transportation Economics and Modeling
As the primary author of two state-of-the-practice guidebooks on how to evaluate highway and transit projects, ECONorthwest excels at assisting state departments of transportation and other planning organizations with the evaluation and selection of transportation projects. ECONorthwest specializes in the modeling and evaluation of congestion pricing (also called value pricing). ECONorthwest has completed numerous studies of toll roads, toll bridges, and high-occupancy toll (HOT) lanes throughout the western United States. For the Puget Sound Regional Council and the Federal Highway Authority, ECONorthwest is currently managing and performing the technical analysis for a GPS-based experiment in tolling.
