Alec Josephson
Alec Josephson is a senior research analyst specializing in economic-impact analysis and project evaluation. He has participated in numerous economic-impact studies and has extensive experience developing input vectors for different spending classes and fiscal impact modules for various taxing jurisdictions. He modeled the economic and socioeconomic effects of the City of Portland's proposed sewer enhancement program and presented the findings in open hearings to the Portland City Council. In addition, Josephson has assessed the economic consequences of lost federal funding for long-term healthcare services in Washington and Oregon. These findings were presented in both legislatures and in open, public hearings. Josephson has also been ECONorthwest's lead analyst in the annual evaluation of four California utilities' reporting of forecasted and actual costs, benefits, and earnings for demand-side management programs.
In addition to consulting, Josephson is an adjunct professor at Pacific University, where he teaches courses in macroeconomics and the economics of social issues.
