ECONorthwest Summer 2017 Internship Program

ECONorthwest, the largest economics consulting firm headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, is offering paid internships for current undergraduate and graduate students in our Seattle and Portland offices. The interns will work closely with project managers on all aspects of our work, including technical and administrative tasks. Your work will include: research, data collection and analysis, literature reviews, presentation preparation, and report writing. Assignment to specific practice areas and projects will depend on the skills and interests of selected interns.

This internship provides networking and professional development opportunities. At the beginning of your internship, we will work with you to develop personal and professional development goals for your experience, and develop a work plan that will help to make progress on those goals. 

Qualifications Required

  • Registered and enrolled at a university in an undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent analytic and writing skills.
  • Coursework in any of the following subjects: econometrics, macro and micro economic theory, land use planning, transportation planning, real estate development, or public policy.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with the following software programs: ArcGIS, Stata, R, and IMPLAN.
  • Experience with Python.

Time Commitment: Full-time summer internship. We are flexible on start and end dates between May 2017 and September 2017.

Location: Seattle, Washington or Portland, Oregon.

Compensation: $15/hour
