Melanie joined ECONorthwest in 2008, and has applied her expertise in data management, web application development, quantitative programming, and program evaluation to projects in education, workforce development, and other human services. For several state governments, Melanie has developed sophisticated online benefits calculators that help, veterans, seniors, low-income families, and people with disabilities estimate their eligibility for assistance programs.  She is proficient in Python, SQL, R, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and VBA. Melanie has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a member of the Sigma Xi Honorary Society for the Advancement of Scientific Research.
